We live and work in the global healthcare community. It is important to us, that we share, and commit ourselves, to contributing to that community. We choose to do that through Community Outreach programs that provide full-time scholarships for RN and Advanced Nurse Practitioner programs, and Medical and Dental Missions that provide free clinics in rural communities in the Philippines.
RN Scholarship Program
A full scholarship to attend university and obtain a BSN degree at one of the leading universities for nursing in the Philippines. The Scholarships are available to attend the universities participating in the GlobalCare Alliance program.
Qualifying candidates must be educationally talented, but financially challenged and generally come from some of the regional areas of the Philippines. Candidates spend their vacations working with GlobalCare as interns.
Advanced Nurse Practitioner Scholarship Program
A full scholarship program for nurses with a BSN degree and at least five years bedside experience who would like to undertake a masters study program in the United States leading to an MSN degree, and qualification as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner. This program is run in conjunction with Holy Names University in Berkeley, California, one of the leading nursing colleges in the United States.
Medical and Dental Missions
A program of free clinics in rural communities in the Philippines. These clinics are company sponsored events designed to provide free medical and dental services in underprivileged communities.
The philisophy of the medical missions is to focus on early detection of disease, and illness, preventive care and health management.
Clients are invited to participate in these clinics, and many have already donated medicine and equipment to the cause. If you would like to donate medical supplies, the attached pdf file contains a list of the most commonly needed medications and equipment.
